The 29th Annual Golf Charity Tournament hosted by Donghua Hospital took place on the 21st at the renowned Olympic Club in San Francisco. This event drew a large number of community members and supporters, all gathered to raise funds for the hospital’s new projects, including a state-of-the-art cancer and infusion center.

The ceremonial tee-off was led by California Assemblymember Didi P. Yang and State Treasurer Ma Shiyun. This tournament provided supporters with a relaxed and enjoyable way to help Donghua Hospital address the current challenges faced in the healthcare sector.

Dr. Zhang Jianqing, the CEO of Donghua Hospital, remarked, “The healthcare industry is facing unprecedented difficulties, and the generous support from all sectors of society is crucial for us.”

The funds raised from this event will primarily be allocated to the establishment of the new cancer and infusion center, which will significantly enhance Donghua Hospital’s capacity to provide expert cancer treatment and care to the Chinatown community. Zhang emphasized, “Expanding the cancer and infusion center will ensure that patients and their families can access professional medical services close to home when they need it most.”

The event also featured a live auction conducted by former San Francisco Mayor Willie L. Brown Jr. and City Council President Aaron Peskin. Proceeds from the auction will fully support Donghua Hospital’s expansion plans for their new project.

Zhang expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all attendees, stating, “We sincerely thank everyone who participated; your generous contributions will help us overcome healthcare challenges and allow us to continue our mission of providing quality medical services that are culturally and linguistically appropriate for our community.”
