On October 27, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei addressed the recent Israeli airstrikes on Iran for the first time. Speaking to the media, Khamenei emphasized that the attack on October 26 should neither be downplayed nor exaggerated.

Khamenei asserted the importance of demonstrating Iran’s strength to Israel, stating, “It is up to the Iranian government to decide how to convey the power and will of the Iranian people to the Israeli regime, and to take actions that align with the interests of our nation.”

Reports indicate that on October 26, dozens of Israeli military aircraft conducted three waves of airstrikes targeting military factories near Tehran and other locations in western Iran. In response, the Iranian military claimed that its air defense forces successfully repelled the attack, although four soldiers were killed and some areas sustained “limited damage.”
