In an interview with reporters on October 22, Shi Liaoyuan, the General Manager of Huinong Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. in Pengze County, shared insights about their extensive agricultural initiatives. “Currently, we manage 1,600 acres of water for aquaculture, 1,300 acres of arable land for cotton and rice cultivation, and 110 acres of mountainous land for growing navel oranges and peaches,” he revealed. “We have taken on numerous agricultural and small engineering projects, significantly contributing to the development of the village’s collective economy.”

Shi emphasized the unique nature of their organization, stating, “Unlike typical enterprises, we are a village-enhancing company set up by the government of Dingshan Town.” He explained that whether it’s an agricultural project or an engineering initiative, the profits will undergo a unified assessment at the end of the year, with 60% of the company’s profits distributed as dividends to ten villages in Dingshan Town. He anticipates that this year, the total dividends could exceed 200,000 yuan.

According to sources, Dingshan Town in Pengze County has adopted Party-led practical projects to promote comprehensive reforms aimed at strengthening villages and enriching residents. They have become the first in the county to establish a robust village-enhancing company, the Huinong Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., architecting a collaborative industrial framework consisting of “1+10+N” (one strong company, ten villages, and multiple industrial bases). This initiative aims to create a new model of shared benefits through resource investment, labor participation, and coordinated distribution.

Shi also highlighted the company’s commitment to agricultural advancement by stating, “We have invited agricultural experts to provide technical training and promote different herbal species at the Dongming Village herbal base. This has resulted in an annual production value of 500,000 yuan, with major contributors earning over 50,000 yuan each, while boosting the collective village economy by more than 150,000 yuan.”

Through various strategies like “enterprise driving methods,” “red empowerment techniques,” and “digital leverage strategies,” Dingshan Town has effectively revitalized diverse asset resources, forming a new model of shared prosperity that emphasizes large-scale, intensive, and market-oriented operations. They have also brought in professional managers to enhance the financial sustainability of village economies, aiming to transition from a “safety net” approach to a “development-oriented” model.

Wang Meng, a member of the Dingshan Town Party Committee and the armed forces minister, mentioned future plans to strengthen the standardized operation of village-enhancing enterprises. He stressed the importance of thoroughly assessing village collective assets and establishing a town-level project database, with a focus on harnessing local resource advantages to introduce agricultural projects. This aims to accelerate the development of the village collective economy and compose a new symphony of rural revitalization.
