On the same day, the council, in partnership with the Jieyang government, organized a training event focused on cross-border e-commerce and talent development. This included a specialized session on the application of AI tools in cross-border e-commerce, providing targeted technical training. Representatives from various platforms, including AliExpress, Lazada, eBay, TikTok Shop, and Xiaohongshu, were present to address local business inquiries.
During the event, the “Jieyang City-level Cross-border E-commerce Industrial Park Award Ceremony” took place, where Jieyang’s Haiyao Cross-border E-commerce Industrial Park and Guangdong Ming Shu Cross-border E-commerce Innovation Park received accolades as “city-level cross-border e-commerce industrial parks.” Additionally, the Jieyang enterprises’ initiative for stable international operations was officially launched.
The Guangdong Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade noted that they would leverage their international network to help address challenges businesses mentioned regarding their international ventures. This includes utilizing over 70 overseas economic and trade representative offices and connections with various global business associations to facilitate access to international markets. They also plan to integrate high-quality logistics, financial, and legal services to assist businesses in overcoming obstacles in cross-border transactions.
Since November of the previous year, the council has implemented the “Assisting the ‘Hundred-Thousand-Million Project,’ Cross-border E-commerce Tour to a Hundred Counties” series, hosting four large-scale industrial connection events in places like Shantou, Maoming, Jiangmen, and Heyuan. In collaboration with cross-border e-commerce platforms and trade associations, nearly 100 product selection events, exhibitions, recruitment fairs, and training sessions have been organized, successfully connecting with over 80 local specialty industrial clusters across more than 50 counties.
